BBQ Time
The design is based on the Argentinean style of barbecuing, where you keep a log fire burning constantly and shovel hot coals from a fire to under the grate as and when you need them. This means you can maintain a good heat for as long as you need it, but has the added benefit in Scotland that you get a bonfire to keep warm around, as well as a barbecue.
The barbecue is made from the stump of a tree which had been growing next to a river which over time had washed away the soil from around the roots, leaving them all exposed and finally leading to the tree being blown over. Having trimmed the root plate and moved it into place I just had to mount a board as a table top and some stone slabs to cope with the heat and I was ready to go.
If you have any unusual tree related ideas or work needing done just give us a call and we will be delighted to help.
